Tallahassee Biblical Counseling Ministries exists to provide Biblical, compassionate and quality counseling, guidance and wisdom for Florida's Big Bend residents, churches and communities. The primary goal of Biblical counseling is to glorify Christ and to assist people dealing with depression, addictions and conflicts; helping our community develop healthier relationships with the Lord and others.
We are developing relationships with various churches in the Big Bend, providing Biblical counseling and classes for discipleship. Although Tallahassee Biblical Counseling Ministries operates as a free service to Florida's Big Bend Region, providing this service for our community does have financial costs. We trust that God will connect us with other brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ who know of and have experienced the value of God's guidance and direction through His word.

Counseling will be dependent upon God's word (the Bible) and the Holy Spirit.
The Bible itself states that the truths contained within it are entirely sufficient to enable a person to live a life pleasing to God (2 Peter 1:3-4).
The Bible provides all the needed principles and guidance for understanding our mental processes, analyzing our emotional responses and exercising control over our behavior (Psalm 19:7-14).
The Bible contains the solutions to every problem of attitude, relationship, communication, conduct and behavior (2 Timothy 3:16-17).*

The reality is that Biblical Counseling has been around for 2000 years.
In the Bible, Paul wrote that all Christians are responsible to be equipped and restore one another (Ephesians 4:12 and Galatians 6:1-2).
Approximately 400 years ago the Puritans developed a sophisticated, disciplined, grace-filled system of diagnosis for personal problems.
They made distinction between a variety of physical, spiritual, temperamental and demonic causes.
The reality is that Biblical Counseling has been around for 2000 years.

We do offer churches the opportunity to partner with us.
These partnerships are designed to be mutually beneficial and a way to counsel people within their church facilities, and for assisting churches in need of temporary pastorship.
Additionally, each staff member at Tallahassee Biblical Counseling Ministries is expected to be an active member of a local Bible-believing fellowship and growing in their faith.
