Think about a moment of peace and calm, a time for you, when you can sit down with a caring psychologist who listens to your concerns and responds with empathy and insight. We live in a fast paced world of complex technological advances, societal mayhem and relationship discord. Conflicts can throw us off balance and engender insecurities. That is why I am dedicated to strengthening personal well being, fostering harmonious family life, and guiding you to realizing your full potential.

Do you feel too depressed to reach out? I know it can be quite difficult to muster up the energy yet it is that effort that can make such an important difference in your improvement. You don't have to go it alone. I consider my role to be one that provides support, caring and belief in you until you are able to do it for yourself. Are angry family dynamics depleting your energy?

Is there constant bickering among siblings? Are your children disrespectful, even belligerent? Do you feel like you have tried "everything"?

About Dr. Barb
Report
People sometimes wonder what drew Dr. Pedalino to want to listen to other people's problems.
Dr. Pedalino describes her answer as twofold: First, when she personally encountered adversity, she discovered how integral therapy was to develop coping skills, learn, and grow.
So yes, she sat in the client's seat and can appreciate how it feels to be vulnerable.
Second, she feels enriched when she can help ease someone's emotional pain or observe someone's excitement from self-discovery and growth.
Dr. Pedalino's interest in self-esteem spans all ages and involves working with adults experiencing anxiety or depression, children, adolescents, families, and schools.

Therapy is a team effort.
She identifies the client as the captain of the team and she is among the players.
Sportsmanship requires honesty, commitment and integrity.
And like all sports, winning requires effort, determination, and skill.
Therapy involves skill building and retraining your brain; therefore, weekly sessions are preferable, sometimes more or less often, depending on the presenting issues.
