We created The Womb Room to be a reliable source of support for families experiencing pregnancy and parenthood. The path to having a child can be both difficult and rewarding, and we want families to know they do not need to face this experience alone. Our community provides assistance, connection, and resources for those navigating this important time.
Through The Womb Room, families have access to education, yoga, groups, lactation therapists, doulas, massage, and retreats. Our schedule includes opportunities for families to participate in classes, groups, and events, and we welcome inquiries from those seeking more information. Our support team is built on decades of collective wisdom and experience. We have collectively supported over 4,000 births, provided more than 5,000 hours of therapy for perinatal families, partnered with over 50 birthworkers, and served more than 13,000 families. Hospitals in Maryland, DC, and Virginia trust our team and refer families to our services. We are proud to continue offering compassionate support for growing families.

The Womb Room is an absolute sanctuary for parents-to-be and parents alike. I was introduced to the Womb Room through their childbirth class. I walked in unsure of the road ahead and walked out feeling confident and prepared for anything that birth threw my way. I also attended their prenatal yoga classes. They were a great opportunity to connect with other people going through pregnancy, be heard, breathe, and take time for myself. Now that I’m postpartum, I’ve been enjoying their baby and me and pilates offerings “on the other side” of birth. All in all, I’ve found the community at the Womb Room to be incredibly generous and accepting. I’d highly recommend the Womb Room!

Our Doula Shanté was absolutely incredible! I truly do not think I would have been able to deliver my sweet baby boy fully unmedicated if it weren’t for her knowledge, support, and positive attitude throughout the entire process. My husband was skeptical of hiring a doula prior to our birth experience and now it’s the #1 thing he has been recommending to our friends/family who are expecting soon. We could not be happier with our experience!

So grateful for the womb room! I was able to find my postpartum doula (Jenny) through them. They had many available doulas and helped facilitate me securing the right person For my family. I can’t say enough about Jenny! She was the calm in the storm for me. She took care of me and my baby, as her own and provided us so much compassion, kindness, and encouragement! She’s experienced and also a lifelong learner so there was no issue that came up that she wasn’t willing to dig a little deeper for me to find a solution! I would definitely recommend her for your postpartum care you won’t be disappointed!
Additionally, I participated in the baby gear exchange and the people there are just so welcoming and nurturing. I look forward to continuing to participate in activities that they have throughout my motherhood journey.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with The Womb Room and especially our postpartum doula, Christin.
We had previously hired a postpartum doula for overnight support with a different company and she was unexpectedly out for two weeks. We knew we needed the night support (two nights a week), and found The Womb Room through Google.
From the beginning, Sunni was warm and open about their process. She connected us with Christin, who was able to support us just four days after we initially found The Womb Room.
Christin was a calming presence in our home and our two month old, Lucy, immediately took to her. From the beginning of our two weeks working with Christin, Lucy was sleeping longer stretches and was calmer. Christin was kind, knowledgeable, and professional. I appreciated how quickly she was able to integrate into our routine and I felt extremely confident with her caring for our daughter overnight so I could get some sleep. She was able to honor our breastfeeding journey and bring Lucy to me when she needed to be fed, as well.
I honestly wish we had found The Womb Room sooner and hired them for the entirety of our postpartum support. I would highly recommend them to any family looking for support as they move into postpartum.

My husband and I found the Womb Room when we were searching for local doula services and we had a great experience! The staff were great at communicating thoroughly and promptly when we were looking into their services, and it was so easy to connect with Shannon (our doula!). We started the search a little on the later side, so we really appreciated how quick Shannon was to jump into action. We had an initial meeting via Zoom to get to know each other and then had two in-person meetings at our home before birth of our daughter. The in-person meetings were really helpful in understanding our needs/wants for the birth experience and Shannon gave us some great physical/mental exercises to consider! She was also so attentive when we got close to the birth. Her bedside manner was amazing and added to the calm - and her ability to create a relaxing ambience in the delivery room was great! She was hands on with me and so considerate of my husband when things got going. After we made it home, Shannon came for a postpartum visit to assist with breastfeeding and provided more resources for assistance. We would absolutely recommend working with the Womb Room and Shannon in particular!

From beginning to end, it was a pleasant experience with the womb room. I found them by doing a Google search and I am so glad I did. The initial phone meeting gave me so much insite and positive affirmation into their services ,that I decided to speak with 2 of their doulas to make my final decision on who would go on this very important journey with me. I AM PLEASED beyond belief that Erica Green was my doula. She was patient caring and loving. It truly felt like I had a family member advocating for me. When i had questions or concerns before and during my birthing date. From her advice to the knowledge she gave me on every topic I had questions and concerns about, made it truly a great experience. My labor was 2 days long and she was with me and my boyfriend every step of the way. She even reaches out to this day to check up on me and ask how we are doing . She is truly a new addition to our growing family 💖 I would recommend her over and over again !!!!

Let me start by saying 5 stars are not enough for our doula, Sunni! My wife and I were looking for someone who would advocate, educate, listen, sympathize, understand, have patience and support us in home after birth. Sunni is all that and more!! Before, during and after my labor they did things we didn’t even know we needed. Even though Sunni’s service is very much about my anxiety and confidence giving birth, they also made sure my partner had confidence in supporting me during this time and helped her with her anxiety. Sunni also made sure my partner ate during this time (23 hours in labor) and checked in with my mom…they orchestrated the room and had it down to a science. They were in touch with everyone’s needs and was able to successful help us all remain calm. Before working with Sunni I was very nervous about being giving birth especially as a queer woman of color but with Sunni supporting us I went into that delivery room feeling so prepared and confident even when I had to pivot in our plans. My wife and I are so grateful for everything Sunni has done for us and continues to do for us and our son. The postpartum services are also top tier with their notes, tips, and highlights. It made me feel like I didn’t miss anything while I was sleeping. I cannot imagine giving birth again without their support.
Every person we’ve met at the womb room for classes, groups, yoga and massage (Erik) have all been wonderful! The community, safe space, and support this place provides is amazing and very needed. We felt welcomed and educated the whole time.

In the 7th month of my pregnancy, I decided that I wanted to pursue a VBAC after a traumatic birthing experience with my first child. I reached out to The Womb Room about the possibility of hiring a birth doula to help me and my husband navigate the VBAC attempt and a more positive birthing experience this time around. They responded immediately and connected me with several doulas who reached out to introduce themselves to see if we were a good match. Each doula I spoke with provided me with a detailed overview of their background and services and allowed me the space and time to choose who I thought would be the best fit for our situation and personalities. I felt a connection with Morgan and requested to have her as our Birth Doula and am so happy with this decision! Morgan was supportive, informative, intuitive, responsive and warm from the moment we first spoke through our postpartum visit. She provided information and education that allowed me to make informed decisions regarding my birth plan but also helped to manage my expectations during my time in the hospital. Morgan provided the safe and loving support I needed after a previous traumatic birthing experience and this was vital in giving me a more positive experience the second time around. She also came to my home for a postpartum visit and allowed me the time and space to process the experience with her, and this alone was more helpful than I could ever put into words. The Womb Room provided me with postpartum doula resources in the event that I may need these services as well. I felt so supported and cared for throughout my entire experience with The Womb Room and highly recommend them to anyone in need of the vast array of services they offer!

I took prenatal yoga classes here during my pregnancy, and they were exactly what I needed at the time — low pressure, calming, and a good way to slow down and connect with my body. The instructor was supportive and the environment was relaxed and welcoming.
I stopped going toward the end of my pregnancy because life got hectic, but now that I’m starting to get into a routine as a new mom, I plan to come back for the postnatal and mommy & me classes. It feels like a good place to ease back in, both physically and mentally.

I am so glad I found this place when I got pregnant! Prenatal yoga has been such a highlight of the experience, especially the opportunity to connect directly with other pregnant folks. Allison's Saturday morning classes have helped me feel more prepared for birth, and Mariyam's great cueing on Wednesday evenings have helped me understand my pelvic floor better.
I also took the "Pelvic Floor Mechanics" workshop with Brielle and Dr. Joy, and I can't believe it's not standard for all birthing people! I learned so much valuable information about labor and delivery and how to help it along naturally.
My only suggestion is to more regularly include pronouns and non-femme language, since not every birthing person is a woman.

My wife and I took several classes (infant care, lactation, postpartum recovery, and others), and she also attended classes on her own (i.e. prenatal yoga) at The Womb Room. All of the Doulas and educators we worked with were phenomenal. They shared their experience and knowledge in a non judgemental way. We are now more informed about risks and our choices. The classes were fun and interactive. We *highly* recommend The Womb Room.

I have enjoyed working with Jonelle since my daughter was only a month or so old. She is so warm and supportive and brings so much knowledge with her on latching, supply, pumping, oral tie release exercises/care and so much more! Her recommendations encouraged me to find a PT and subsequently start early interventions for torticolis which I am so grateful for. She is great with my daughter and I have always felt that we are both in great hands. 10/10 recommend!!

I am so thankful that The Womb Room exists. They are here to empower and comfort you!

The one day Holistic Childbirth Essentials class was incredible. There’s so much information out there and it can be super overwhelming at times, so we were more than happy when Kristie presented information and strategies that were meaningful and specific to our needs. The most meaningful takeaway for me was understanding my rights and the function of interventions and decision I make in the delivery room. The comfort measures section gave my partner more confidence in his ability to support me during labor, delivery, and advocacy throughout the process.

This place is a gem. I tried out prenatal yoga at the Womb Room in the beginning of my third trimester and quickly became a regular. Classes are perfectly paced, and it's such a calming, welcoming space. My partner and I also signed up for the single-day Holistic Childbirth Essentials class. We had considered taking a class like this online but appreciated hearing from other parents-to-be and the chance to try out "comfort measures" in-person. Kristie was knowledgeable, engaging, and made a nearly seven-hour class way less painful than it sounds.

She brings in different speakers and there were some really great resources that I will be using now. I feel more empowered about my upcoming labor and delivery.

I just completed Womb Room's 6-week Childbirth Series and was so, so happy that this was the class we decided to take! There are so many options out there when it comes to childbirth education, but I'm confident that Womb Room provides a completely unique experience. The course focuses on building a community of others around you, everything you need to know about childbirth as well as encouraging birthing persons and partners to advocate for their preferences throughout the process. It was empowering to learn about all of the different options out there when it comes to the birthing process.
Kristie was our instructor and she was absolutely wonderful! She made the class time fly by and was a wealth of knowledge! I've also heard that the other instructors are great too, so you really can't go wrong with choosing to go with the Womb Room. This was one of the best decisions we made in our pregnancy/birthing experience!

I cannot say enough good things about Kristie Graybill's classes at the Womb Room. I'm pregnant with our first and my husband and I wanted classes that would explore all options in relation to childbirth and newborn care and her classes fit the bill. They explored both medical and more natural options so I felt like I had all the information to make a truly informed decision. Kristie, herself, is so down to earth and has so much knowledge to share but also can speak to her own experiences with her own 3 kids. I have done both classes though my hospital and through the Womb Room and the Womb Room has been by far the better option. I cannot recommend these classes enough and definitely plan on joining their parent groups after babe is born.
