Sky Forest Counseling
Sky Forest Counseling proudly serves teens, couples, families and individuals in Boise, Idaho. My name is Leah Logan. It is my belief that who we are today is a product of our experiences throughout our lives. I am passionate about the resilience of all people and the ability to move from a place of feeling "stuck" to a new outlook of growth, healing and possibilities.

Do you notice that you have negative messages that play in your mind on repeat? Do you have memories of past experiences that hold you back from giving fully to your present relationships? Are you feeling depressed, hopeless, or suffering from high anxiety? Are these things keeping you from being the successful, happy person you want to be? Are you struggling in relationships and repeating old behavior patterns that you want to break?

Do you need a private and confidential space to share your innermost feelings, the kind you haven't entrusted to anyone else before, even family or close friends? Sometimes when we experience things that are scary or overwhelming the brain can't do its typical job of filing away memories and they get stuck and stored in their raw, unprocessed form with all the sights, sounds, smells and other vivid details of the original event.

About
Report
My name is Leah Logan.
I am an Idaho licensed clinical social worker (LCSW- #36482) specializing in therapy from a trauma-informed and attachment focused perspective.
My goal is to give every client helpful and real-life tools to improve their ability to handle what life throws our way.
I work with clients to identify the memories that are impacting their ability to feel safe, confident and happy.
I strive to help clients identify and heal attachment wounds from early in life when the brain was still building our sense of self and view of the world.
Services and Fees
Report
While my specialty is trauma and stress related disorders with children and adults, I have extensive experience successfully treating a wide variety of issues including anxiety and mood disorders, relationship issues, life transitions, grief, behavioral issues, and other problematic behaviors.
I am an in-network provider with the insurances listed below.
If I am not, or not currently, an in-network provider with your plan, out-of-network benefits will often cover a good portion of my services.
The session fee, your co-pay and/or co-insurance is due at the time of service and I accept cash, checks or credit cards.
What to Expect
Report
Therapy is often not what it appears on TV or what you may be thinking when visualizing the word in your mind.
You might be thinking of a stuffy, unapproachable person asking questions while you sit on a couch.
This is not my style at all and not what I would want from a therapist.
I strive to create a warm environment where you feel relaxed and comfortable.
My hope is that therapy feels like a conversation where you feel heard, seen and felt.
And because I truly believe that laughter is healing, I hope that we can have moments of laughter as well.
Online Therapy Telehealth
Report
I provide Online psychotherapy, also known as Telehealth, to Idaho residents or anyone who is within the state of Idaho during the time of our sessions.
Most insurances cover telehealth, and even some are so embracing it that they provide reduced copays under certain plans (please verify this with your particular plan).
However, there are some insurance companies that have a few more hoops to jump through regarding this model of service delivery.
As time goes by and insurers catch up to the level of technology we are all already comfortable with, these speed bumps in the process will eventually go away.
Trauma and EMDR
Report
The word "trauma" is covers any deeply distressing or disturbing experience.
Many therapists look at trauma as either Big T Trauma and little t trauma.
Big T Trauma is what many would undeniably assume as traumatic such as car accidents, active duty military experiences in wartime, being physically assaulted or being involved in a natural disaster.
Little t traumas aren't always as easy to identify but are just as harmful.
They can be everyday issues such as having a difficult boss, being criticized by parents or peers, bullying or having a relationship end.
