Counseling Center
The Counseling Center of New Smyrna Beach is the areas most referred to and established Counseling Center in Volusia County and has been in business for over 30 years. The practice originated as an Associated Psychiatric Service with owners Dr. Young and then Dr. Siniakin. In 2007 under new ownership and the direction of our current CEO Shane Porter, it was rebranded and took on a change for growth and the practice expanded dramatically.

In 2014 under a partnership with Dr. Capozzi and Dr. Cevallos the Center for Behavioral Medicine of Port Orange, Florida was opened to better serve our growing community. Since our inception, the caring licensed counselors, psychologists, and psychiatrists of the Counseling Center of New Smyrna Beach have provided expert and innovative professional mental health and life coaching services to literally tens of thousands of individuals, couples, families and children in Volusia County.

At Counseling Center of New Smyrna Beach, we believe that counseling isn't just for those who are hurting, but that anyone can benefit from an ongoing counseling or life coaching process.

Report
At the Center for Behavioral Medicine, we strive to provide our clients with new and innovative approaches to address their mental health care needs.
Hence, we are excited to offer a new service, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, or TMS, is an exciting and fairly new option for the treatment of patients with symptoms of depression and treatment-resistant depression.
This noninvasive clinical procedure works by directing recurring magnetic energy pulses to the specific regions of the brain which are responsible for controlling moods.
